Summer on Plantation
Plants planted last year started to bloom. Sky blue flowers of downy flax can be seen from afar. Capitula of serratula lycopifolia have already changed their colour and its seeds will soon be ready to be harvested. More than a half of Carlina onopordifolia Besser also developed inflorescences. They look spectacular. What a shame the plant dies back after blooming. We can already see that we will have good harvest on our plantation this summer. Spring frosts did not harm the plants and lack of precipitation does not bother them at all. After all, those are plants from xerothermic swards.
