Collaboration with the University of Life Sciences in Lublin
Herds grazing in Stawiany i Młodzawy will be tested for parasites. Blood and faeces samples were taken from sheep grazing in those different environments: xerothermic swards and xerothermic oakwood. All that was possible thanks to the collaboration with the University of Life Sciences in Lublin. Furthermore, a four-person group of students from the Faculty of Biology, Animal Sciences, and Bioeconomy conducted three-day observations of the behaviour of sheep and goats. Ten animals wore GPS collars. This allowed precise monitoring of how the animals moved in the field and which places they preferred most for grazing.
